Hello, and welcome to PoeMondaY! Ok, so I admit the title of my new weekly feature is a bit cheesy, but what can I say? I love cheese, whether it be in food, wordplay, or pun form! My hope is to share something new every Monday in the realm of poetry. These shares are things that definitely have touched me in some way, but I also hope that they will get you, too. Poetry for the masses, in a sense.

Anyway, the following is a slam poetry performance. The first time I saw it, it literally took my breath away for a few moments. The intensity and performance are so powerful. Also, having spent a fair number of years working for psych hospitals in a variety of roles, it speaks to me on that level as well. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Tell me what you think:
